Friday, October 02, 2009 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PT)
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED! Thanks for your interest, but our workshop is full.
The Seattle Drupal Users Group
will present a free "Drupal Clinic" workshop on Friday, October 2,
2009, from 10 AM to 5 PM. This hands-on workshop is an introduction to
building a web site using the free, open-source content management
system Drupal. We will cover questions like "What can Drupal do?", "Why
choose Drupal?", and general concepts of on-line content management
with a database behind your web site. Then we'll work through the
basics of setting up a Drupal site. There will also be time at the end
of the day when experienced Drupal volunteers will be available to help
you one-on-one with your specific Drupal questions, or to work with you
more on what was covered in the workshop.
This free workshop
will include coffee in the morning and lunch with vegetarian and
non-vegetarian options (provided by our sponsors), but please bring
your own lunch if you have special dietary restrictions (no wheat, no
dairy, etc.).
Each attendee should bring a laptop with WiFi
capability. A personal "sandbox" web space will be provided for each
attendee during the workshop, so everyone can give Drupal a test run.
You can sign up here to attend the workshop, or as a volunteer to help the attendees learn about Drupal. See details on each "ticket" type for information on what volunteering entails and what qualifications you would need.
CANCELLATIONS: If you are unable to attend, please contact the organizer. We will make your ticket available to the next person on the Attendee Waiting List.
